Mail Server Blacklist Monitor periodically checks an IP address or a range of IP addresses against more than 150 DNSBL (DNS-based Blackhole List) and RBL (Real-time Blackhole List) blacklists and alerts you when a change on one or more blacklists occurs. Using a simple system of rules, you can define which events related to IP address blacklisting should trigger an alert. Each monitor can contain up to 256 IP addresses. You can setup your monitor to alert you via email, HTTP(S) Callback, SMS, or Twitter message. Daily, weekly, or monthly reports are delivered through email.
Blacklist monitoring is a service intended for all owners and administrators of IP addresses including network administrators of companies of all sizes, Internet Service Providers operators, shared and dedicated hosting companies. Every company that needs to keep their IP addresses clean will greatly benefit from the blacklist monitoring service.

In order to use Mail Server Blacklist Monitor, you have to be a registered user and logged in. The primary page to work with is called Your Monitors. Here you can see a list of all your monitors together with their status and a time of their last check. The primary identifier of each monitor is its name. In the Actions column you are given controls to go to a monitor's report page, to enabled to disable a monitor, to edit monitor's settings, and to delete a monitor.
By default a list of all monitors are displayed. If you are interested to see only monitors that are currently alerting, switch to the Alerting tab. To see monitors that are not currently in an alerting state, switch to the No Alert tab. To only display disabled monitors, switch to the Disabled tab.
The displayed list of monitors is automatically refreshed every minute if the auto refresh checkbox in the right upper corner is checked. If you want to refresh the list manually, you can click the auto refresh link on the right side of the check box.
A status of each monitor is displayed using a simple graphics. If you want to know more details about the status, move your mouse cursor over a status image. Many more details are provided on the report page of each monitor.
To create a new monitor, simply click the Create New Monitor button below the list of monitors, or notice the Mail Blacklist Monitor menu on the right and click its Create New Monitor item.
How to Get Removed from Blacklists? #
First of all, you should understand that each blacklist is managed by different owner. So, there is no central entity that you could contact and ask to have your IP address removed from all blacklists. It is also pointless to contact us at Online Domain Tools. We do not maintain any of the blacklists and so we cannot do much to help you here. We can only give you a good information on how to proceed when you are blacklisted and want to be removed. Here is our advice on how to find removal instructions or contacts:
- If you are on the main page of the Mail Blacklist Monitor, navigate to the monitor report page and check its history log table. You should see a small arrow on the left of the event's date and time.
- Click it in order to expand the table row to see more details. A table with all blacklists that your IP address is listed on will be displayed to you. If there is a link in the Details column of this table, click it. It is likely that you will find removal instructions on the target page.
- If it did not help, check the info / removal link in the Action column of the table. Click it and you will be navigated to the page with information about the blacklist and/or its removal instructions or form. Rarely, the link contains an email address, not a link to to a web page. In this case, the blacklist does not have a web page and the only thing you can actively do is to write an email to the owner of the blacklist domain and ask them for removal.
